Martí Andiñach

Introduction to Wet Plate Photography

Did you ever wanted to know what were the beginnings of photography? Now it’s easier than ever!

Martí will host a “Wet Plate Photography 101” workshop for all of those who literally want to get their hands dirty and create light sensitive silver themselves. The workshop is a complete guide to the craft from the beginning to the end but mainly focused on the practical part. As Martí says himself “good guidance at the beginning is priceless” cause it will keep from doing many mistakes yourself if you want to get involved with it.

There are tons of information online but if you want to know how it is to create and shoot a true wet plate (actually 2 plates) for yourself this is the perfect chance, you will walk out of the workshop with 2 plates made and shoot by you!

About Martí

“Martí took at the time too seriously the premise of Film is not dead, the passion for analog photography led him to the medium format and from this, he jumped to the plate cameras. For three years now, he began to dedicate his time 100% to one of the first chemical photographic processes in history, wet collodion.

From this platform not only opens its doors to everyone who wants to be photographed in the manner of the XIXth century, but begun working in different photography areas such as weddings or advertising, always from the process of collodion.”
